How to download Al-Qur'an and hadith for offline use

To keep the app small, Al-Qur'an and hadith languages are downloaded when you need them. Once downloaded, they stay on your device and work without internet.

Quick start

  1. Open Settings from More on Home.
  2. Tap Downloads.
  3. Under Al-Qur'an, download the Arabic text and any translations or Latin transliteration you want.
  4. Under Hadith, download the languages you read.

In detail

Al-Qur'an

The Arabic text is required; translations are optional.

  • Arabic text (required): needed to read Al-Qur'an at all.
  • Latin transliteration: for reading along in Latin letters.
  • Translations: one per language. Each shows its size before you download.

Hadith

Hadith are downloaded by language, with the Arabic text and the translation of every book.

  • English and Indonesian are built in and always available.
  • Some languages cover fewer books; the app says how many.

Automatic downloads

You often don't need to do anything.

  • When you change the app language, its Quran translation downloads in the background.
  • Hadith translations download automatically for French, Russian, Turkish and Urdu.

Tips

  • Going somewhere without signal? Download what you need on Wi-Fi first.
  • If a download fails, check your connection and try again.
